While trying to debug an issue with intermittent connections to one of the VPN servers, I uninstalled and reinstalled Shrew Soft VPN. ipconfig would show two virtual adapters with the expected IPs. I was able to connect to both at the same time. I see the messages below at the end of every call (the message is verbatim except I replaced my calling number with #). I am using Shrew Soft VPN to connect to two VPN servers. I opened a ticket with the carrier (TWTeleCom) and they confirmed the call ending at 5 minutes with a “Network out of order” message, which is what I see as well. All the rest of the phones in the environment are SCCP 7940’s.

I tried replacing one soft-phone (CIPC) with SIP instead of SCCP – no change. We are really mystified on this (so far). All calls in or out via the PRI end at "5 minutes" (the log shows 299 seconds). We JUST started having a VERY similar problem at one of our satellite offices. I've rulled out the routing and gateways as if it was an issue with them this problem should apply to everyone instead of just one user.Īny thoughts or ideas will be considered. My phone is registered with a different subscriber, but the other phones tested in the office with the phone in question are registered on the same subscriber as said phone. I haven't rulled out a setting in CUCM yet, but I didn't see any differences between my personal phone and the phone in question. There are zero firewalls between the phones, CUCM servers, or the gateway routers.īecause of the test calls, I feel I can safely rule out the backbone infrastructure. When calling Long Distance with other VoIP phones in the office, the call does not drop.Ĭurrently the issue is isolated to two physical phones with one shared line. but, after 2 minutes the connection times out with this message on the Shrewsoft FTP.

Network Backbone: Juniper 4200/3200 series switches (please don't get me started, it was not my choice) I have been looking in a number of places with no answers that fit my situation. It can be used for communicating with a Open Source Operating system running ipsec-tools to provide an alternative to expensive commercial vpn solutions.
